Henning Krippendorff,
Director
After various positions within the German hotel group Steigenberger Hotels in Germany, Austria and Turkey, Henning remained in Turkey as the General Manager for the resort hotels. He joined the resort chain Paradise Hotels and Club Aldiana (Paradiana) with a focus on pre-opening, operational start-up and resort management. For Paradiana Henning was transferred to Thailand (HuaHin) in 1993 as General Manager. He was on a similar position from 1995 to 1996 in Tunisia, and then transferred to Egypt. Until 1998 he was building the regional organisation (office in Cairo) during the construction and pre-opening of new resorts of Paradiana in Hurghada (Safaga) and Sharm El Sheikh. Upon integrating Paradise Hotels International Management into the Spanish Iberostar Hotels and Resorts, Henning took over position as Director of Operations for Iberostar's new management contracted hotels in Tunisia and Greece, whilst being based in Palma de Mallorca, the group head office. After leading the above-mentioned countries' operations into autonomous regional management, Henning followed the recent expansion of Iberostar in Bulgaria, Turkey and Croatia. Henning managed a group of international corporate executives within Eastern Europe, supervising and leading project management, pre-opening and operations. In May 2004, Henning started a consulting and management company, coaching newly branded Valamar Hotels and Resorts. This engagement converted 2005 to an overall hospitality management service and project development platform, with an office based in Zagreb, Croatia. After accepting the position of Director of Sigma Capital Investments S.A., he is now transitioning his consulting responsibilities to a local team in Zagreb. Henning holds a diploma for hotel business & administration of the German Chamber of Commerce (1985).
